“Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name; thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily Bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen!”
When I take in You, oh God, through bread and wine, prayers, fasting, worshiping, singing, speaking, listening and hearing your Holy Word, I become the Church of You. My body has become your temple so it has become a sacred place that the evil one cannot destroy.
When we invite God into our heart and our soul, only then can we truly know that we are receiving His Living Water and will never thirst again. Not only that, but we also have to see and know that God sent His Son, Jesus, to take on ALL of our sinfulness when He died on the cross and rose again in three days. Also, get this…. our God also sends us His Holy Spirit to guide us through this wicked world that we live in! No other religion can say that they have a LIVING GOD! So awesome!! Realize that our faith in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with the denomination of your Christian faith; instead, it has everything to do with you becoming one with ALL three as your focal point. It’s living your life the way that God INTENDED for it to be lived, as a vessel to carry His word and love and share it with the world. That is the purpose for which each of us are made.
What did I learn from this? I know that I am a sinful person. I fight that all the time. I also know that I feel like I am an empty book with blank pages just waiting to be filled up with His word and His love. I have been a Christian for a long time, but lately I’ve been feeling like I am a CHRISTIAN all the time. As I’ve gotten older (and wiser), it just hits me differently. My soul is being cleansed of everything that has tried to corrupt me in the past. I’m not perfect, but instead, I am perfectly imperfect with a liberal seasoning of God for major flavor to the mix!
So, what can you gain from this? God knows you…I mean He KNOWS you and, get this, He loves you and wants you to come to Him. When you ask God into you life, the old you is gone and you are a new creation in Him. You will find that everything looks and feels different. You won’t want to do the same things anymore or even find that you fit in with your old crowd. I know that can be a shock but you will find that it’s not so bad because you will find others who are finding their own joy in God as well. Trust God to send you where you need to be and who you need to be with. He won’t let you down…I promise! (Related post: Elohim: Name of God)
